Interaction with Large, High-Resolution Wall Size Displays

Whilst studying for my PhD at the University of Leeds between 2006 and 2010, I created a multi-window visualisation system (with an accompanying window manager) for running across a Powerwall (a tiled display). The 28 monitor Powerwall at the University of Leeds has a total resolution of 53 million pixels and is powered by 7 nodes. I wrote the multi-window system in C++ using the OpenGL and VRJuggler libraries. The system was evaluated with researchers and students from the University’s Institute for Transport Studies.
