As part of the FP7 CRISIS Project, this work investigates how to design training simulations to train roles such as Silver Commanders. To take on these roles, trainees need access to the incident scene first hand, as well as access additional media such as local TV coverage, and their internal logging system.
I developed this system using the Unity 3D game engine (the 3D models were provided by a third party). Most of the coding is done in C#, and I take advantage of Unity’s RPC protocol for syncing the server and clients.
